I signed up with SDS about 6 weeks ago, making the first payment to them tomorrow, a week early, and the calls from my creditors have not stopped, in fact they have increased. 4 today so far, 5 yesterday and 2 on the 4th of July. SDS is telling us they won't talk to the creditors until we have made them 3 payments, but I don't think the companies are going to wait that long. They are getting belligerent and very pushy.

They may not be willing to work with your settlement company in the beginning but ultimately, if they want to get their payments, they will accept the proposals. Thanks for the reply, Payday. I have been logging the calls to send to SDS. One company is determined to get money out of me no matter what, or drive me mad with the calls. They have called me 3 times today, so far. I'm expecting another call within the next 20 minutes. Thank goodness for caller ID!
working with SDS, and they will get paid, but some of the reps don't want to hear that. I was just wondering, if after a time the calls stop or drop to a minimum.

Do they only do settlement? I need a good consolidation company. When I signed up for this site, Coleman Law was assigned to me. I thought their payments were too high. I would love to have a referal to a good consolidation company. You can never be too sure if they are actually good or not, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

in general pretty skeptical of companies that offer only one service or another. Besides that, per my friend's interpretation, it seems that Freedom Debt has some of the most stringent ethical standards and up-front cautionary remarks on the market. As far as curadebt is concerned, it seems as though the company is run by a gentleman without a lot of background in finance. Although they may do a good job, I tend to believe that education should count for something. Hope that helps.

erica was willing to work with me on a settlement, so I'll just pay them for 6 mos, and I'm done. Lowes and Citi Finanancial weren't willing to work with me and they called me for about 3 months straight, I keep on telling them I'm going through SDS. Once SDS sends them the Power of Attourney the calls stop. THey are a good company to work with so far, I should be debt free in March 08.
