going to let them go to collections and try to settle.
Im afraid of wage garnishment. Is this rare or common for a creditor to spend legal money on this. How fast to they file for garnishment. If I just went late...would I have months or years before they did this?

First the y will try to settle with you and them they will go to a third party for collections who will also try to settle. To garnish your wages they will need to go to court and get a judgement. You are months away from that right now in most cases. What state do you live in? Have you tried to get the mortgage company to modify your loan or agree to a short sale of your home?

Why not sign up for our free consultation with a professional. There may be other options for for cards like consolidation or settlement before they go into collections.
